OVERVIEW

To highlight how holiday shopping in-person can be a huge pain, eBay decided the best way would be to have a fake department store.

Fake signage was made for prices, different departments, posters and even the ‘walls’ of the store through large format printing.

A modified touchscreen was used as a fake cash register, containing a custom Unity game. As players scanned the right items, televisions elsewhere in the space would update with their progress.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Established art style guidelines.

  • Prepared and presented progress to agency partner and eBay team.

  • Interviewed and hired both internal and external artists.

  • Directed video production team on filming requirements from a narrative and visual perspective.

  • Managed 2D production of Unity games.

  • Coordinated print asset production.

  • Coordinated between external vendors for large format printing.

  • Produced various graphics.
